Privacy policy
Last updated 26 October 2026. Covers the Nuggets Daily app and our websites.
The short version. Nuggets Daily works without your real name, email address or location. We keep what the app needs to save your scores, streaks and leaderboard spot, plus anonymous usage and crash information that helps us fix and improve it. We never sell your information and there are no ads. You can delete everything from inside the app, any time.
Who we are
Kansei Tech (“we”, “us”) makes the Nuggets Daily app and runs kanseitech.com and nuggetsdaily.web.app. We are based in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. You can reach us at hello@kanseitech.com.
What Nuggets Daily collects, and why

What stays on your phone
Your settings, reminders, Fact Journal, Redemption Box and full play history are kept on your phone. Reminders are scheduled by your phone itself; we don’t send them.
What we don’t collect
- Your real name, email address or phone number (unless you choose to email us).
- Your precise location, contacts, photos, microphone or camera.
- Advertising IDs. Nuggets Daily has no ads and no ad trackers.
The Nuggets Daily waitlist
If you join the waitlist on nuggetsdaily.web.app, we keep your email address, the date you joined, your time zone and currency, so we can tell you when the app launches and give Founding Members their badge. We won’t use it for anything else, and you can ask us to remove it at any time.
Who we share it with
We don’t sell or rent your information. We use Google Cloud and Firebase (Google) to run the app’s servers and to store data, in Google’s Singapore region. Google processes this data on our behalf. When subscriptions become available, payments are handled by the App Store or Google Play; we receive confirmation of your subscription, not your card details.
How long we keep it
- Your account, scores and leaderboard entries: until you delete them.
- Usage events and crash reports: up to 13 months, then deleted automatically.
- Question reports: kept to keep quizzes accurate, but no longer linked to you once you delete your account.
Children
Nuggets Daily is made for everyone, including families. The Kids’ Edition never asks children for personal information: no names, photos or contact details, and leaderboards show only nicknames and avatars. We recommend a parent or guardian sets up the app for younger children. If you believe a child has shared personal information with us, email us and we’ll delete it.
Your choices and rights
You can change your nickname, avatar and region at any time in the app, and delete all your data in Settings → Profile → Delete my data. You can also ask us to access, correct or delete your information by emailing us; see Delete your account. We follow Malaysia’s Personal Data Protection Act, and we honour similar rights wherever you live.
Security
Data travels over encrypted connections and is stored on Google Cloud with access limited to us. Answers are checked on our servers, so scores can’t simply be made up.
Changes
If we change this policy, we’ll update the date above and, for important changes, tell you in the app.
